Gemtree Vineyards

Gemtree Vineyards is dedicated to the art of making wine using sound environmental practices and its McLaren Vale vineyards have been farmed biodynamically since 2008. The winery is owned and run by third generation grapegrowers, the Buttery Family. Their philosophy is simple - good grapes means good wine.

Winemaker Mike Brown believes in minimal intervention when it comes to the winemaking process, which results in powerful wines that are a true representation of variety and vineyard. Choices made in the vineyard - from pruning to harvesting - determine the ultimate characteristic of the wine.

Gemtree owns 330 acres of prime vineyard with varieties such as Shiraz, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Albarino and Verdelho.

So what is a Secret worth sharing?

We seek out and recommend the best wines from around Australia and overseas. Quality creations from boutique, family-owned and hidden-away wineries. You won't normally find these wines on the retail shelves and if you can, they're always in limited supply.  We call them ‘authentic wines from authentic wine families'.
