Cascabel

Cascabel Winery focus on Spanish grape varieties. Winemakers/vignerons/owners, Duncan Ferguson and Susana Fernandez, are highly committed to "in house production" with traditional European winemaking techniques, using handpicked, dry grown, low yielding grapes. The results are wines that reflect variety and soil, as well as the personality of the owners.

From the start in 1997 Cascabel had a definite Spanish influence with varieties like Tempranillo, Monastrell, Graciano, Grenache and Cariñena making up the majority of the plantings. Spending time in France also encouraged them to plant Roussanne, Viognier, Shiraz and Cinsault.

This is small batch winemaking with a soul!

So what is a Secret worth sharing?

We seek out and recommend the best wines from around Australia and overseas. Quality creations from boutique, family-owned and hidden-away wineries. You won't normally find these wines on the retail shelves and if you can, they're always in limited supply.  We call them ‘authentic wines from authentic wine families'.
