While most physiotherapists who are doing their Phd’s dream of working with an Australian sporting team, Damo reckons that’s so last century. So we thought we’d give him a shot with a bunch of wino’s instead.

Fellow community please note, this is not an excuse to call for the ‘magic spray’ before half-time.

Although Damien doesn’t work in the industry, he is someone that we consider the ‘ultimate fan’ of red wine. And that’s not an easy title to acquire when you’re dealing with a subject like red wine that has so many committed fans.

So what is the ultimate fan?

I’d say it’s turning up to game day and trainings. It’s studying the history and the form guide relentlessly. It’s knowing who’s up and coming. It’s knowing who is on the way out. And occasionally, it’s encouraging the team with a good old fashioned streak across the field.
