2010 Bremerton Reserve Chardonnay
This is a pretty serious Chardonnay. The nose shows plenty of lifted lemon citrus, complemented by the nutty complexity of nougat and cashew. The palate shows purity of varietal fruit, supported by the structual complexity of fine French oak. The generous flavour of this wine is balanced by a refreshing natural acidity, and the textural finish gives the wine great length and persistence.
The Chardonnay juice was fermented under cool conditions in a combination of new and old French oak barrels using wild and inoculated fermentation. The wine was matured on yeast lees for 10 months prior to blending.
Serve slightly chilled and pair with white meat such as pork, poultry and veal. The wine will also compliment oily fish such as salmon and tuna.
