Willunga 100 Grenache
Grenache has gone through a renaissance of late as winemakers refocus their efforts on bringing forth the subtleties of this once maligned grape variety. The comeback in popularity is good news for Barossa and McLaren Vale winemakers who between them have a fair proportion of the world's oldest Grenache vines to work with.
The 2010 Willunga 100 Grenache is a really good example of why this hearty old grape vine is back in vogue. Made with a tender touch, it is yielding, smooth and flowing with soft, spicy fruit.
