2008 Coriole ‘Dancing Fig’ Shiraz Mourvedre

This is an excellent blend of deep red goodness.  The two red varieties work in sync to produce a robust red from a middle weight division.

We all know how good McLaren Vale Shiraz can be, and Mourvedre just heightens the experience in this case - contributing contrasting earthiness to the bright Shiraz, along with a nicely worked, chewy finish.

And I'm not sure about the name - anyone out there dance like a fig?

Hi Tim,

I'm in full agreement with your rating of The Dancing Fig.

I found it to be one of the "softest" red wines I have imbibed in the last 10 years but it still had the body and structure required of a full-bodied reds.

Extremely enjoyable so much so that I have just re-ordered another 6 pack. Thanks. Max
