Riesling queen Kerri Thompson a.k.a. KT has just released her 2009 Watervale Rieslings and Secret Vines is one of the first to get hold of them. The 2008's were some of the most popular wines we have showcased and I don't expect the 2009 editions to be any different. The wines are made according to organic principles and are all handcrafted in tiny amounts.
The 2009 Peglidas is one sassy little number. It's lush and softer then I would generally expect from a Watervale Rizza but that doesn't diminish the drink. Take a good whiff and this rizza has tons of flavour with layers of musk, pear, saffron and lime dominant citrus flavours. It's a juxtaposition of grace and subtle force.
